RealYield uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and (when you opt in) understand product usage. This page explains what we set, why, and how you can change your mind.
1. Strictly necessary
These are always on — without them the product can't work.
- Session cookies (Supabase Auth) — keep you signed in across page loads. Cleared on sign-out.
- Role-mode cookie (
realyield-mode) — remembers whether you last used Investor or Agent mode so we render the right dashboard on return visits. - Account-type cookie (
realyield-pending-account-type) — short-lived (30 minutes); set during signup so the OAuth round-trip remembers whether you picked “Investor” or “Agent.” - Theme preference — remembers light vs. dark mode.
- Cookie-consent record (
realyield-cookie-consent) — stores your choice so we don't show the banner again.
2. Analytics (opt-in)
When you accept cookies, we may load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get used and where users get stuck. We never sell or share analytics data, and we've enabled IP anonymization. If you decline, GA4 is not loaded.
3. Third parties
A handful of integrations set their own cookies on the pages where they're embedded:
- Stripe — fraud prevention on the checkout iframe.
- Supabase — auth session tokens (covered above).
- Google — only when you sign in with Google.
4. Your controls
You can change your mind any time:
- Click “Cookie preferences” in the footer to re-open the consent banner.
- Clear cookies for this domain in your browser settings.
- Sign out — Supabase session cookies are revoked immediately.
